Using a needle, fabric, and her imagination, Omaha-based artist Amy Beck creates peculiar-looking monsters and a host of other unique, handmade items. Taking the name of one of her creatures, Plaiderpillar, Beck has fashioned a whimsical world where you can stumble across (and purchase) Clarence Nighthawk, a monster with a yoga ball for its body, or the Legling Brothers, nine-foot, long-legged monsters with extending tongues (and sometimes guts!).
